Why you should see a chiropractor

Every day at the office I look at patient’s x-rays. Together with the other chiropractor in the office we go over the x-rays and just shake our heads. Most people have no clue how bad their spines take on wear and tear every day. If people could see what was going with their spine they would see a chiropractor on a regular basis. Not getting regular chiropractic adjustments is the equivalent to not brushing, flossing, cleaning your teeth. Over time the cavities will roll in, just as in the case of your spine, not seeing a chiropractor for regular chiropractic visits will speed up the decay process of your spine.
What happens to the spine is that over time, the spinal bones become restricted, misaligned and move and placed in improper position. This is what chiropractors call a “subluxation”.  A subluxation leads to desecration of the spine. The reason this happen is the irregular pressure of gravity unevenly distributed throughout the spinal column from the misalignments or subluxations.

This leads bone laying more down bone in an attempt to protect from damage. However this bone is unevenly laid down and leads to destruction of the lining of the bone. This in turn leads to indentation on the bone surface. Over more time because of the uneven pressure from gravity, the discs which act as cushions between the spinal bones become damaged and lose their height and ability to cushion the spinal bones.
Now there is a compound effect of damaged lining of bones and damages spinal discs of the spine. The reason why this is so crucial is that soft tissue in the area are placed on added pressure which greatly increases the chances of strains, sprains, back and neck pain. Left untreated this can lead to nerve entrapments, neuropathy and spinal surgery.  It is a path clearly you do not want to go down.

That is why it is a good idea to see a chiropractor on a regular basis. Some chiropractors allow unlimited visits for a short monthly fee. It’s always a good idea to take care of your spine. See a chiropractor today and get checked out.
